When you really notice something, you'll find they are everywhere. Just like the fringe trend we've discussed in former chaper, British Vogue has made a set of photoshoots named Spring Festival several months ago in the 2009 March Issue, Lily Donaldson, my fav, as the model.
Seems all the fringe are experincing a dancing festival, just dance, dance, dance. Yes, that's what fringe should be.

Found a group of photoes published on W magazine inspired from 60's fashion last century. Wow, sounds a long history when mentioning 'century', but it was only less than fifty years ago, the era featured a number of diverse trends like mini dress and hippie looks.

May is round the corner, and it's time to give a review and judge to April issue magazines. Thanks for these professional media giving such a chic report and providing an opportunity to review fab mag worldwide. Here is a result from nymag. Gorgeous, interesting, disappointing, or ridiculous, you judge.

Most Ironic Portrait -- Gisele in Harper's Bazaar

Gisele's got a gun! But you knew that.

Most Disappointing Spread -- Cindy Crawford in Harper's Bazaar

In the magazine, this spread comes right after Gisele's. In her spread, Gisele is done up in a variety of looks, wearing clothes by Prada, Chloe, and Dolce & Gabbana, among others. Turn the page and there's Cindy, looking like she stepped out of a Land's End catalog.

Best Body -- Garrett Neff in L'Officiel Hommes

We think this pretty much speaks for itself.

Best Hot Mess -- Alice Dellal in British Vogue

Alice Dellal needs three things: clothes, hair above her left temple, and a shower. That said, we couldn't imagine her any other way than how she's pictured here, and almost don't want to.

Best Men's Editorial -- Zoo

At left you see a ruff by Gareth Pugh, at center you see Maison Martin Margiela leggings, and at right you see Alexander McQueen. All are almost impossible, if not impossible, to pull off, but so, so fabulous.

Best Ad -- Liz Claiborne

Isaac Mizrahi undertook a great challenge when he signed on to design Liz Claiborne. The company seems to be banking on his personality rescuing the label as much as his design talent. So having him ham it up in the ads was a good move. Wouldn't you want to hang out with him in an elevator?

Best Comeback -- Beyonce in Vogue

Anna Wintour hath stripped Beyonce of her Gareth Pugh and her Thierry Mugler and forced her into a Jil Sander dress, which looks lovely. Sasha, you've been fierce and all, but oh, Beyonce, how we've missed you.

Worst Comeback -- Pete Doherty in i-D

Pete Doherty talks about how "organized" and "clean" and "healthy" he is in the article in i-D accompanying this spread. So why isn't he the one in the bathtub?

Least Progressive Accessory -- i-D

This poor thing doesn't deserve this metal muzzle.

Best Women's Editorial -- Dazed & Confused

Shot at Stonehenge, this spread manages to be creepy and silly at the same time. Model Kate Somers wears Louis Vuitton and Gianfranco Ferre at left and an Alexander McQueen catsuit at right. Clothes are dangling from the tree at center. Why make like a tree and leave when you can make like a tree and model?

Best Celebrity Portrait -- Eva Mendes in Lula

We have never felt like we wanted to be Eva Mendes, but the dress she got to wear for this shoot has totally changed our minds.

Most Embarrassing Celebrity Portrait -- Sienna Miller in Nylon

This was taken in February of 2007, but that does not make it okay.

Most in Need of a New Pose -- Rachel Zoe in Marie Claire

Zoe demonstrates her de facto stance: hand on hip to form isosceles triangle while looking shocked at the world around her. Couldn't she at least experiment with equilateral triangles?

Most Ridiculous Rain Outfit -- Nylon

Who wouldn't want to walk around in the rain in a studded clear cape with eight-inch heels and no pants?

Best Girl Group -- Lula

Oh to be 12, innocent, and see-through again

Best Male Model Wearing No Pants -- Andres Velencoso in L'Officiel Hommes

We've said we don't want the pantless trend to spread beyond Lady Gaga, but we guess we could live with it catching on in the male-model community. You know, maybe.

Best Weave -- Allure

This might have won Best Hair, but notice how the hair is combed back by her forehead, which suggests it's fake. But still, the style is to be applauded. Go big or go home.

Worst Editorial -- Paper

Based on how this is styled and presented, we would not pay more than five cents for any of these garments. And we assure you they cost much, much more than that.

Most Overexposed Collection -- Prada

At left you see spring Prada in Allure. At right you see it in i-D; it appeared in countless spreads this month. People ought to remember it as something more than the show so many models fell down in this season.

Best Use of Color -- Surface

Considering this is the height of spring/summer spreads, it's surprising more of this month's editorials didn't feature color like this. Hopefully the magazines are saving that up for neon-happy fall.

Most Ill-Conceived Spread -- Teen Vogue

There are so many things wrong with these pictures. First, the guy is wearing overalls. Second, on the right he is wearing a suit under and over his overalls at the same time. Also, why is the girl walking on railroad tracks in high heels with a guy who looks like he came from the marching band at the Pickle Fair one town over? It's a rude imagining of Dawson's Creek meeting Clueless.

Best Example of Why Lindsay Lohan Needs a Day Job -- Glamour

Oh look, it's Lindsay Lohan as Madonna. Britney did that in 2003, thanks.

Best Use of Glitter -- W

It's only a matter of time before Lady Gaga starts walking around with pockets full of glitter to throw into the air, as demonstrated here by lovely model Eniko Mihalik.

Best Model -- Lakshmi Menon, Dazed & Confused

Lakshmi could not be weighed down with more gold or beaded frippery. But still, we notice her before we notice all that shiny stuff on top of her.

Best Example of Eighties Revival -- Zoo

This editorial is inspired by Stephen Sprouse. Louis Vuitton's not the only one who knows how to do a Sprouse revival right.

Seems the girls from Gossip Girl are all busy. Leighton Meester just finished her shoots for New York Times Magazine, here little S, Blake Lively was on the cover of Allure Magazine May issue. These two girls, stands for two different style. Which one do you prefer? As for me, it's Blake. As her last name tells, she is more lively and always give surprises.

Far from typical American girl, Blake's eyes were rimmed in black pencil with lines smudged outward. Her lids were swept in black metallic shadow with a thick stripe of black liquid liner.

On her relationship with costar Penn Badgley
"You see people who will open up their relationships, who are very affectionate on the red carpet or are doing a reality show with each other, and their relationship just seems to crumble," says the actress. "So I decided to keep a vow of silence."

Vogue May 2009 Cover: Model Muses

The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion will be exhibited from May 6 to August 9, 2009, and explore the reciprocal relationship between high fashion and evolving ideals of beauty, focusing on iconic fashion models in the latter half of the 20th century and their roles in projecting, and sometimes inspiring, the fashion of their respective eras. And the May 2009 issue of Vogue, will dedicate to models in anticipation of this year's Model as Muses in recent eras.
Liya Kebede, Natalia Vodianova, Anna Maria Jagodzinska, Isabeli Fontana, Lara Stone, Jourdan Dunn, Raquel Zimmermann, Caroline Trentini, and Natasha Poly all made the final cut, wore what appears to be Rodarte.

Inside, Natalia Vodianova, the former supermodel pioneering baby face tide, the mom of three kids nowadays, showed us how great a pretender she is by acting from supermodels in old days like Twiggy or Dovima.
As for me, this girl captured me in my first sight of Ad campaign of CK several years ago. The child like expression in the eyes, the lovely little nose like a cat's, the sexy figure, Natalia just combines them together perfectly and make it a chilling charm.
I searched on the internet to get all these nine models Natalia pretending and made this comparison. Would you come to judge which one Natalia acted best?

Love the Gossip Girl? Here comes the little B - Leighton Meester's photography for New York Times magazine. Far from her normal royalty style on GG and casual style in daily wear. It's colorful, and a little wild. Come here and share the gossip of the Leighton girl.

On doing movies:
"Well, first I'm going on a much-deserved vacation. Then I'm starting work on a comedy called Date Night with Steve Carell and Tina Fey. I play the babysitter and they go out for a date one night and everything goes awry. After that I'm starring in this crazy movie called The Roommate, which is directed by Christian Christiansen and is sort of a re-telling of Single White Female. I'm the emotionally detached narcissist, but it's early days and I still don't know who's playing the psycho opposite me."

On the rumors that she was born while her parents were in jail:
"This is the type of thing that you can't be too sensitive about - it's not like I did anything that's worth talking about. I love my parents very much, but people either continue or break the patterns of what their life should be and I just want to completely break whatever patterns would lead me to the same life choices that they made."

On what happens to Blair next season:
"It's yet to be decided, but I'm definitely going to college - to NYU - and not wearing any more school uniforms. Thank god we're not pretending we all get held back and just continue with high school like all those other high school shows. I guess I'll wear magnificent clothes every day that don't have anything to do with school."

Miranda Kerr, the sexiest girl in fashion industry, joined in Victoria's Secret for the newly launched Ad Campaign. Natural beauty was shown as she poses in the new Dream Angels Push-Up Bra along with a pair of matching panties.
I guess nobody would deny it's really hot girl taken really hot photos. But ironically enough, Miranda recently told press that she doesn't necessarily understand the way people label her as a sex symbol. Two conclusions might be drawn: some times people are different from what others supposed them to be, like celebs might be far from the image set in public, or this girl is over modest not worthing any credit.
BTW, you know she is the girlfriend of Orlando Bloom?

Harpers Bazaars May 2009 Cover Girl: Halle Berry

Recognized as Sexy Black Pearl, Halle Berry extended her career from actress into a fragrance designer. Launching her new fragrance line this March, Halle log on the cover of Harper's Bazaar May 2009, and chatted her new career in fragrance, her relationship with younger boyfriend Gabriel and the daughter Nahla.
Really love the theme based on a huge bubble, in which Halle striking a few poses in gorgeous dresses. I love all of them except the Fendi dress. It did not fit Halle and made her seem overstaffed.

On how she keeps her "mojo":
"I have a 33-year-old man. That'll keep your mojo mojo-in'."

On whether she'll marry again:
"No. I'm done. Also, I happened to find a person who feels done too, and he's never even been married before. So it works."

On her golf dates with Gabriel:
"The only reason I learned is for love. I was like, I'm not golfing; that's the boringest thing in the world. Then we only went a couple times and I realized, Oh, this isn't the boringest thing in the world. It's really fun and a good way to spend time with him."

On Obama changing things for Nahla:
"Nahla will grow up in a completely different America. Obama is someone who's more like her than not, who shares her history. Hopefully she'll grow up in a world where it'll be easier than I had it. I had a rough time. I was accused of stuffing the ballot box for my high school prom-queen election because they couldn't believe the only black girl in the school won."

ELLEs May 2009 Cover Girl: Drew Barrymore

After breaking up with boyfriend Fabrizio after five year's love, Drew learnt to live for herself instead of anyone else. Happy for her. I love such brave girl, especially when the girl always gives happy laugh and dresses casually appearing on the street. But she seems to be moving on with her recently rekindled interest in Justin Long.
With the upcoming HBO film Grey Gardens which debuts on 18 Apr. 2009, Drew got on ELLE's May cover and tell us more about her personal life, of course the new movie.

On her breakup from Fabrizio:
"It's hard to be with someone for five years and say, 'This isn't going to work.' But it was a time in my life where I finally just said, 'I can't live for anyone else anymore.' I have to be on my own."

On her career:
"I'm in my thirties now, and I really want to try all the things that I haven't gotten to do yet, like directing, and doing a drama. I've produced and gotten to do a lot of optimistic love stories, and that was so where I was at for 10 years in my life. And now I feel like, Okay, now I know how to do that. I wanted to get scared again."

On preparing for her role in Grey Gardens:
"I knew this was not a courtesy meeting, but not far from it. I didn't want to come in there like a hungry freak. But I also felt every second counting. So - polite conversation, then he started looking through my binder, and I saw his demeanor change, actually noticing all the hard work I had put into it. So I just put it out there. I said, 'Look - I have all of this inside of me, and I promise you that I will change my face to be her. I will learn how to stop talking out of the side of my mouth. I will go to school to relearn body language. I will shut out the world. I will not talk to my friends. I will give up my life for this, because I don't think you can play this character and have a social life and balance the two mentalities. I won't act. I'll become this person.'"
